"This spot will be in our hearts forever."

Visitors to Meher Mount seem to be Meher Baba’s specially invited guests. It appears that He is prompting each person at a particular moment in time to visit and strengthen their inner link to Him.
“The spot will be in our hearts forever.”
Often, Meher Baba would send visitors just at closing time. One such case happened on a Sunday in September – the last open day of our stay at Meher Mount.
A couple showed up 15 minutes before closing time looking for a spiritual place for their marriage proposal. They wanted a private and intimate setting. It was their first time at Meher Mount, and they knew little to nothing about the place.
“So how did you choose this place?” we asked.
She said they had spent the day in Ojai, searched online for “spiritual places near me,” and Meher Mount popped up.
We told them Baba’s Tree would be the perfect place for them, and off they went. It was a beautiful afternoon. A cool evening breeze swept over the meadow, colored in a light amber glow of the approaching sunset.
When they returned to the Visitor Center, the joyous couple was thrilled. They said the place was “perfect.” The more we told them about Meher Mount and Meher Baba, the more ecstatic they were about their “random” selection.
They said that they proposed to each other and exchanged rings by Baba’s Tree and offered their prayers. They said they felt connected to Meher Mount in so many ways.
My husband, Juan Mendez, took their first engagement photos and emailed those pictures to them.
They responded, “We had such a beautiful time at Meher Mount, and the spot will be in our hearts forever.”
