From Interstate Highway 5 via Santa Paula
HWY 150 (near Steckel Park) between Santa Paula and Meher Mount closed indefinitely due to mudslides. Use Highway 150 from Ojai to reach Meher Mount.
From Interstate Highway 5, take State Highway 126 west, toward Santa Paula.
Go about 28 miles (passing through Piru and Fillmore) to the 10th Street/State Highway 150 exit, which is the first Santa Paula exit.
Take the CA-150/10th Street exit. Turn right onto South 10th Street, and continue for 9 miles on Highway 150 (named the Ojai Santa Paula Road), at which point you will have reached the top of the grade, land marked by The Summit restaurant on the right.
Continue on for 1.5 miles to Sulphur Mountain Road on the left.
Turn left onto Sulphur Mountain Road and go 2.7 miles until you reach Meher Mount’s entrance on the left at 9902 Sulphur Mountain Road.
From Highway 101 via Ojai
From Highway 101, take CA-33 North until it intersects Highway 150.
Go right onto CA-150 into downtown Ojai (the street is named Ojai Avenue).
Continue through downtown Ojai and through the east end of the valley.
Continue on CA-150 ascending the Dennison Grade. It is still Highway 150 and now named the Ojai-Santa Paula Road. At the top of the grade is Dennison Park.
Continue 2.6 miles, and just past Twin Creek Ranch, turn right onto Sulphur Mountain Road.
Go 2.7 miles until you reach Meher Mount's entrance on the left at 9902 Sulphur Mountain Road.
Only One Way on Sulphur Mountain Road
There are two entrances to Sulphur Mountain Road. You must enter Sulphur Mountain Road from Route 150 in the eastern upper Ojai Valley. Do not enter Sulphur Mountain Road from Route 33. This section is not paved through to the top of the mountain, and there is a gate blocking the continuation of the road to where Meher Mount is located.
