A sadra (also sadhra) is a thin muslin shirt traditionally worn by Zoroastrians. Meher Baba adapted the sadra into an ankle-length garment which He regularly wore.

When Jon and Deborah Meyer visited Meher Mount, it was one of those times when the clouds were so thick on the mountaintop that you could barely see 10 feet ahead of you. It was Deborah’s first visit, and Jon wanted her to see the spectacular 360-degree views as well as visit this Meher Baba place of pilgrimage. The clouds never cleared the entire weekend they were in Ojai.

That day at Meher Mount in 2007, I felt like I was breathing new life, new inspiration with every inhalation. The phrase ‘every breath a graduation’ came to my mind because it seemed every time I took a breath I was receiving additional acknowledgement — finding new graduations of insight and achievement.

In January 2016, Yolanda Koumidou visited Meher Mount for Amartithi - a commemoration of the day in 1969 when Avatar Meher Baba dropped His physical form. She was inspired by that visit to write this poem "Under Baba's Tree."
Yolanda later return to Meher Mount in February 2017 to be a temporary caretaker. "What a privilege it was to be the caretaker of Meher Mount for a few days. It is truly a sacred space. Every time I return from Meher Mount, I am never the same."

Mani S. Irani (1918-1996), the sister of Avatar Meher Baba, was His second-closest woman disciple, joining Baba's ashram at the age of thirteen.
In those early years, Meher Baba traveled repeatedly for His work, always with chosen members of the mandali joining Him. The stress of the continual shifting of plans and places, required the mandali to become more detached from the world and to focus on Him.
