"My Journey to Following Meher Baba" - Greg Harland
Meher Mount
“This is not going to be your average Meher Baba talk…”
“Jai Baba, everyone. I’ve given multiple warnings that this is not going to be your average Meher Baba talk, because Baba put me through some real events beforehand. And the only way I can put it in context is that I want to real quickly cover my childhood. And I think you will understand as we go on. The one thing to remember is that all’s well that ends well.”
Take a moment now to watch this video as Greg shares the story of his journey to following Avatar Meher Baba.
“So, my childhood started out really good. My father was in the service, and we moved around and lived a lot in the South Pacific…
“Everything was going really well. My father was a naval aviator… And he was all of a sudden killed in a crash. But, I wasn’t told that he was killed. I was sent to my relatives up in Idaho, and three months later came back three months later and found that my father was dead and that my mother was remarried.
“So, it was a real shocking time for me. But it was actually the time that I first really felt Baba and it was an extremely strong presence. And I’d never felt anything about God before that…”
About Greg Harland
Greg Harland first heard of Meher Baba in 1967 in Berkeley, CA, but it wasn't until 1968 when he met Ursula Reinhart and Mik Hamilton (who both had met Meher Baba), that he became seriously interested.
When Meher Baba announced that He would give Darshan in Spring 1969, Greg worked three jobs to buy an airplane ticket to India.
After Meher Baba dropped His body on January 31, 1969, Greg's charter flight was canceled. But Meher Baba gave him an even better darshan in 1969.
