The Community Responds with Love & Prayers
Meher Mount
As the December 2017 Thomas Fire raged through Ventura County and burned parts of Meher Mount, well wishers sent their love and prayers.
Ray Johnston, a former Manager/Caretaker, felt this quote from Meher Baba was appropriate. He sent an email on December 7, 2017.
In an email, Naosherwan Anzar, who was the guest speaker at the 2017 Anniversary Celebration, lovingly sent this note,
"Beloved Baba is in charge. Leave it all to His care. He takes us to the edge, but never lets us fall off the precipice."
On December 5, Kacy Cook, a resident volunteer at Meher Baba's home in Meherazad, India, sent this encouraging note,
"Jai Baba! We all thought of you at Arti in Baba's Room this morning, and all the flowers were offered while imagining Baba striding beautifully atop the mountain there!!! Buckets of love from Meherazad."
Hardeep and Indra Hanspal, who were the special guests at the 2016 Anniversary Celebration at Meher Mount, wrote:
"We are extremely sorry for the fire damage to our Meher Mount. It is in God's hands, Beloved Avatar Meher Baba, who is the creator, preserver (protector) and destroyer, too. May His will be prevailed."
On December 8, Erin Sommerville, a recent visitor, wrote,
"I am so happy to know that Meher Mount has come through the fire - and although damaged - the tree and structures still remain. Jai Baba!! As I am sure many did - I held Meher Mount in my Heart and Prayers - surrounding it with Love and Light - and will continue to do so."
Diana Le Page, who called from Avatar's Abode in Australia for an update and who has visited Meher Mount many times with Bill Le Page, posted this appropos quote on Facebook on December 6, 2017, as we waited for news about Meher Mount.
