“Agnes Baron was a mentor and inspiration to me,” says Sam Ervin, current board president of Meher Mount.
Sam Ervin will relate highlights from Agnes’ life and share some of his memories of her.
You’re invited to attend and share your own memories of Agnes on Sunday, January 19, 2025. The program is at the Avatar Meher Baba Center of Southern California (Meherabode) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The address is 1214 Van Ness Avenue, Los Angeles, CA.
Fearless, determined and uncompromising, Agnes was also kind and generous, constantly looking for ways to serve others.
She was a co-founder and lifetime caretaker of Meher Mount. Before taking on this role, she lived a varied and adventurous life.
Agnes chartered her own path from an early age, traveling through Europe before WWII broke out.
She later lived as a Vedanta nun and found her way to the New Life Center in La Crescenta, CA, where she learned of Avatar Meher Baba. She helped edit the book Avatar by Jean Adriel. That association led her to the founding of Meher Mount and a lifetime of service to Meher Baba.
