Encounters of the Animal Kind - The Fox

One evening at Meher Mount, just after dinner at dusk, we were sitting outside at the round table where we used to eat, and just enjoying the peace of Meher Mount.
The sky was a perfect hue of blue with orange highlights on wispy clouds, and it was incredibly quiet. I was just basking in Meher Baba's presence.
At some point my daughter Aspen and my wife Lilly got up from the table and went inside, probably to fix dessert or tea.
I Notice Something Moving Toward Me
While I sat alone with Meher Baba, looking at the sky, I noticed something moving towards me. It was a beautiful red fox.
He walked right up to me until he was about two feet away, and then he noticed I was there. He stopped and just looked up at me, and I looked at him. We were both staring at each other in the peace of the moment, which lasted about a minute.
Then Lilly emerged from the kitchen and said something, and the fox turned and walked down towards the well.
